THE MAZDA MX5 SUPERCHARGER CONVERSION KITS 1.6 & 1.8
BASED ON THE BMW MINI EATON M45 SUPERCHARGER
THE INLET MANIFOLD IS VERY USER FRIENDLY AND THE SUPERCHARGER UNIT DOES NOT NEED ANY MAJOR CUTTING/MACHINING TO THE INTAKE FLANGE.
THE INLET SIMPLY SLIPS OVER THE SUPERCHARGER INLET FLANGE AND THEN LOCKS IN PLACE VIA 2 M6 BOLTS .THE THROTTLE BODY FLANGE IS DESIGNED TO ACCEPT A MODIFIED MX5 1600
THROTTLE BODY.1800 & 1600 INLETS BOTH USE A 1600 THROTTLE BODY
THE OUTLET HAS BEEN DESIGNED TO GIVE BEST AIRFLOW POSSIBLE .CAST IN
ALLOY THEN MACHINED TO ACCEPT THE MINI BYPASS VALVE.
THE SUPERCHARGER MOUNTING BRACKET HAS BEEN TOTALY REDESIGNED
FOR EASY FIT AND MADE ADJUSTABLE TO GIVE PERFECT BELT ALIGNMENT
THE 1.6 BRACKET MOUNTS TO THE CYLINDER HEAD VIA THE 2 TAPPED HOLES
IE ENGINE FRONT LIFTING BRACKET.
THE 1.8 BRACKET FITS IN THE SAME WAY BUT WITH AN ADDITIONAL BRACKET THAT MOUNTS TO ONE OF THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD STUDS. THIS AGAIN IS ADJUSTABLE FOR PERFECT BELT ALIGNMENT.
BRACKET ALSO COME WITH LOWER STAY GIVING THE SUPERCHARGER EXTRA SUPPORT FROM BELOW.
THE BELT TENSIONER IS LASER CUT THEN CNC MILLED FOR PERFECT BELT ALIGNMENT AND MOUNTS TO THE P.A.S. PUMP MOUNTING BRACKET.
(IF YOU DON'T HAVE P.A.S. ALTERNATIVELY YOU CAN OBTAIN AN OLD P.A.S. MOUNT BRACKET), THAT IS ALL YOU NEED TO MOUNT THE TENSIONER.
